+The character develops a sentient fragment of living electricity that accompanies his or her spellcasting. Whenever the character casts a spell that directly targets a creature, living lightning lashes out at that target, dealing 10d6 points of electricity damage in addition to the spell's normal effects. This extra strike occurs only once per target spell, even if the spell would otherwise deal damage multiple times or produce multiple hits (such as Magic Missile).
